Abstract
It is known that Europeans, especially Indo-Americans, were interested in Central Asia, the most remote and mysterious corner of the world, which was under the yoke of the Russian Kingdom in the middle of the XIX century. While the British tried to exert their influence on India, Russia actively pursued a policy of strategic military development of the region as a "gateway to the East." Russian travelers, as well as Europeans, came from all over the world in various ways, conducting research and exploration. Among them were such famous scientists as N. Moser, Proskovets, Cowder, Futterer, Schubert von Sowen, Albrecht, Y. Skyler, S. Graham. Among these fundamental missions, the work of the Hungarian scientist Almashi Dyörd caused a great breakthrough in his time (the word Cholnoki Ienö). However, in Hungarian Orientalism, his work was ignored for objective and subjective reasons.
