SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITIONS TO THE PAMIRS AND MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS OF TAJIKISTAN IN THE 1920 S.

Abstract

The work examines the study of the Pamir region by expeditionary men of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR between 1923 and 1928, and the participation of Uzbek scientists in them. At the beginning of the 20th century, after suppressing the main opposition of the anti-Bolsheviks, the problem of further scientific research of the Central Asian region arose in front of the Kones study in Turkestan region. In the past, as part of the expedition, they began to be sent to the Arturli district of Byli Oblast, where the scientists of the newly built Turkestan University began to work there. The main areas of regional research are analyzed.    Among the promising, but at the same time remote and underexplored regions that needed research was the Pamir. Therefore, the preparation of Makalad Pamir expeditions, the composition of researchers, and the results are shown. In addition, the main scientific results and conclusions of the expeditions were studied. The article is written on the basis of comparative analysis of archival documents and research works of members of the expedition.
