ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN BOTAI SETTLEMENT

Abstract

            Abstract. This scientific article presents the results of archaeological research in Botai settlement of North Kazakhstan region. The scientific works of V. Seibert, who discovered and studied the Botai culture and settlement, and the works of foreign scientists were reviewed. Botai settlement is a special monument of horse domestication in the Eneolithic era on the Eurasian continent. The research results of foreign scientists who conducted research in Botai settlement are presented. Currently, international researchers led by Professor Alan Outram, who are studying the Botai settlement, have experimented with new technologies and new methods used in world archeology, including: archaeobotany, geophysics, and geochemical methods. The short results of these researches are briefly explained in the article.
